Every Journey Matters.

No one should have to pack their life into a trash bag during a time of crisis or major change.

Every life transition is a journey, but no one should have to start theirs feeling disposable. At Project Carry On, we harness the power of community generosity and circular sustainability to bring dignity back to critical life changes. By turning unclaimed travel gear and donated luggage into fully stocked, high-need supply kits, we ensure that foster youth, new mothers, elders, and unhoused individuals move forward with pride, resilience, and the essential tools they need to thrive.

Our mission is built on community collaboration, circular sustainability, and practical compassion.

From laying the groundwork for luggage rescue partnerships with transit hubs to connecting directly with local social workers and shelters, every kit we pack represents a community coming together to say: your story matters. every kit we pack represents a community coming together to say: your story matters. Head over to our About Us page to discover the story behind our model, explore the specific ways we serve our neighbors, and see how we are building a more dignified future, one bag at a time.

Fuel the Journey—Ways to Give

Your generosity keeps our kits packed and our mission moving forward. Here is how you can make a direct impact today:

In-Kind Product Donations

Give Everyday Essentials

We accept brand-new, unused items to keep our supply chain full. To ensure safety, hygiene, and dignity for every recipient, all donated items must be brand-new and unopened.

  • High-Need Items: Unopened toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrushes), newborn diaper packs, baby wipes, children’s clothing of all sizes, educational books, socks, and postpartum care products.

  • Drop-Off & Shipping: Check out our Amazon Wishlist to ship supplies directly to our packing location, or reach out to coordinate a local Philadelphia drop-off.

Luggage & Corporate Partnerships

Turn Surplus Into Purpose

Are you an airline representative, travel hub coordinator, retailer, or business owner? We welcome corporate partnerships to source gently used or excess travel gear, corporate sponsorship matching, and bulk product contributions.

  • Luggage Criteria: New or gently used rolling suitcases, duffel bags, and weekenders with working zippers, clean interiors, and sturdy handles.

  • Corporate Giving: Align your brand with local community impact through supply drives, employee volunteer packing events, or institutional grants.

Financial Support

Every Dollar Packs a Promise

Direct financial gifts give us the flexibility to purchase high-need, specialized essentials that are rarely donated in sufficient quantities—like postpartum care items, full-sized toiletries, and sturdy mobility supplies.

  • $25: Packs a complete personal hygiene kit for an elder or unhoused neighbor.

  • $50: Funds an essential care bundle for a new mother, including infant necessities and postpartum items.

  • $100: Fully outfits two foster youth with a high-quality suitcase packed with comfort items, toiletries, and journals.

Dedicated to Restoring Dignity.

Founded on the principle that small acts of care drive lasting impact, Project Carry On collaborates with community partners, transit hubs, and social service networks to deliver practical, dignified support during life’s most vulnerable transitions.
